Billy Ray "Bobo" Perry passed away on June 11, 2017 in Midland, Texas.
He was born on June 24, 1937 in Denton, Texas to Grace and Robert James Perry. He was so lively and outgoing growing up that he was named "Mr. GRHS" by the graduating class of 1956 from Grandfalls-Royalty High School.
In 1959, Billy was drafted into the U.S. Army. He served his country proudly in Germany until 1962. He then worked for Coca Cola for several years until he became an independent distributor for Gandy's for 13 years. He moved to...

Billy Ray "Bobo" Perry passed away on June 11, 2017 in Midland, Texas.
He was born on June 24, 1937 in Denton, Texas to Grace and Robert James Perry. He was so lively and outgoing growing up that he was named "Mr. GRHS" by the graduating class of 1956 from Grandfalls-Royalty High School.
In 1959, Billy was drafted into the U.S. Army. He served his country proudly in Germany until 1962. He then worked for Coca Cola for several years until he became an independent distributor for Gandy's for 13 years. He moved to Midland after that where he began driving for Stevens Transport of Dallas until he retired in 2007 after 15 years of hard work.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gayle; three daughters, Tena, Stacy and Stephanie; son, Robert James; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and his devoted dog, Murphy.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ellis Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service at Resthaven Cemetery located in McCamey, Texas on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10:00 am.
