Janna Lynn Spears, 55, was granted her angel wings on Thursday, October 12, 2016 at Midland Memorial Hospital after a long battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and kidney disease.

Janna was born in Midland on February 9, 1961 to Roy and Jane Clinton and graduated from Midland High School in 1979. She remained a lifelong resident of Midland. She worked in the oil and gas industry for many years and retired in 2013 from JM Cox Resources. She enjoyed being a Mary Kay beauty consultant and loved being a part of the Mary Kay...

Janna Lynn Spears, 55, was granted her angel wings on Thursday, October 12, 2016 at Midland Memorial Hospital after a long battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and kidney disease.

Janna was born in Midland on February 9, 1961 to Roy and Jane Clinton and graduated from Midland High School in 1979. She remained a lifelong resident of Midland. She worked in the oil and gas industry for many years and retired in 2013 from JM Cox Resources. She enjoyed being a Mary Kay beauty consultant and loved being a part of the Mary Kay Family. Janna was a member of the Crestview Baptist Church of Midland. Janna was an avid volunteer and brought awareness to the Permian Basin by acting as the Arthritis Walk Chairman from 2005 to 2013. She loved to cook, swim, sew, read, play the piano and flute, and host holiday family functions.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ila Jane and Roy Lynn Clinton of Midland, Texas.

Janna is survived by her husband Kelly Spears; son, Chris Spears; daughter, Ashley Spears; mother and father in law, Kay and Don Spears; brother and sister in law, Tami and Jimmy Shipman; brother in law, Scott Spears; daughter in law, Leslie Spears; grandsons; Rylan (8), Prestyn (4), and Landyn Spears (1); sister, Sarah Hagelstein and husband Ron; brother, Eddie Clinton; nieces, Bailey Clinton, Taylor Batey, and Brittani Shipman; nephews, Ryan Hagelstein and wife Elizabeth, Adam Hagelstein, and Brandon Shipman and many more extended relatives.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family in celebrating Janna's life.

There will be a visitation at Ellis Funeral Home on Monday, October 17th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral Service will be held at Crestview Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 18th at 11:00 a.m. in Midland. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
